Tiffany and Jordan May 18, 2019
How it all began
"I was going through a difficult time in my life when I met Jordan. I was a single mom and had just gone through a bad divorce. My sister Carrie asked me one evening if I would accompany her to Rigby’s entertainment Center. She wanted to meet someone that she was interested in at the time Brandon who is Jordan’s cousin. My sister and Brandon are now happily married. Anyway at that point I wasn’t going out a lot and was focusing on my daughter and work I figured I could use a night out. So we went and we got there Brandon Jordan and some other friends came along. Jordan immediately caught My eye. I quickly started asking around about him and we’re got back to him fast that I was asking. I didn’t really talk to him that night but a couple nights later we ran into each other again at a bar. That night I really thought we connected. We talked all night. A few days later I found him on Social media and asked him for his phone number. We exchange numbers and made plans to go out to dinner. After a few random get-togethers we had our first real date and Made it official. We decided to date Exclusively. We dated for two years. Jordan expressed his desire to one day adopt Alysson as his own daughter."
How did Jordan pop the question?
"After we have been dating for two years Jordan’s mother passed from cancer. It was an extremely difficult time for him. But somehow in the midst of it all we became closer. He became my best friend. We decided to take our very first vacation together to Indian rocks Beach Florida. We invited his dad and my daughter to go with us. Everything was perfect. we had an amazing time. The last night in Florida Marked Our two year dating anniversary to the day. We planned an evening alone at a nice restaurant on the beach. But while we are out at dinner Jordan kept insisting that we needed to get back to the beach in time for us to watch the sunset with his father. I thought this was strange. Why would he plan a romantic dinner for us alone only to rush through it? When we got back to the beach as I was beginning to sit on the sand the sun was setting over the water. The yellow orange and pink colors blended together on top of the waves. It was beautiful. I noticed Jordan had took Alysson’s hand and was talking to her but I couldn’t make out what he was saying over the sounds of the waves crashing on the beach. When he took out a tiny plastic ring and place it on her finger I started to cry. I felt my breath fall away and I knew it was happening. This was the moment I was waiting for. He turned to me took my hand and got down on one knee. And when he asked me to marry him I said yes and he placed his mother’s ring on my finger. It was everything I dreamed it would be and more."
Share something fun or special about your wedding planning phase.
"Wedding planning was so stressful mostly because we did everything ourselves. The cake was a disaster but luckily one of my bridesmaids save the day with her cake making classes she fixed the cake that was falling apart and made it look professional and brand new. There’s a lot of stress and drama lots of tension among our families and friends. I was very overwhelmed. But we did have a great support system. Even though there was drama and tension we still had so much help from our friends and family it was amazing. My maid of honor even flew down from New York to be here for my big day."
Tell us about your wedding day. What was your favorite part? Would you do anything differently? What would you share with people planning their day?
"Instead of sleeping in on my wedding day I got up at the crack of dawn. I ran around all Over Macon for hair appointments, Running errands picking up food and other things for the wedding it was such a long day. We spent most of the day at the venue taking pictures and the 95° heat. But Heather my photographer was beyond amazing. She blew me away with her positive attitude and with her skills. The photos turned out amazing. I was afraid of so many things going wrong But when it all came down to it I meeting my husband at the altar was perfect and I couldn’t ask for anything better. I didn’t even notice the heat I was so happy. I don’t think I would have changed a thing."
How was your experience at The Wedding Barn at L'Horne? Is there anything you would change? What was your favorite part of having your special day with us?
The wedding venue is one of the most beautiful spots I’ve ever seen that’s why I chose it. The owners allowed us to make it our own and I appreciate that most. They are very welcoming and very hospitable."
